The H-S81-HS/C-ULS and the H-S81-HS/C-ULD are the compact versions of the H-S81-HS with a single or double power supply, respectively. Designed for locations with space limitations and for smaller applications seeking to combine fire, gas detection and suppression panels into one product.

It provides an integrated industrial protection system that includes flame, gas and smoke detection; logic control and networking equipment; suppression and extinguishing capability; public address, sounders, beacons, and other safety components.

Each panel is a modular system comprised of an enclosure, display, a redundant CPU, and up to 8 (eight) I/O cards. The number and type of I/O cards are selected based on the protection needs of the facility. These panels have a single or dual redundant power supply to match either requirement.

Additionally it supports the F7011-UL Safety Bus Control Card which controls remote modules installed on a unique Bus. Up to 64 remote safety bus modules can be controlled by a single F7011-UL control card.  This expands the capacity of the control panel while providing optimal functionality in fault condition with high communication speed.

Base Cards and Software

  • CPU Cards: S81-U1002-1

    The U1002 card is the system’s central unit and contains the controller, flash memory, a buffered static RAM, a watchdog circuit and an Ethernet controller with an RJ 45 Ethernet output connector. The CPU card can be used in either single or redundant configuration with two CPU’s operating in parallel. Both CPU’s process information, but only one is the primary. Once the primary CPU stops operating, the other immediately takes over without disrupting ongoing operations or losing captured events.

  • Display: S81-U1006-1

    The U1006 display is the interface between the panel and the operator. It is composed of a liquid crystal, LED back-lit, graphic type, with thirty 52-characters lines, twenty-three keys, and a buzzer.

  • Default Input and Output Management Card: S81-T8004

    The S81-T8004 card mounted on a DIN rail and normally installed on the panel back plate. This card manages 10 digital inputs, 16 open collector outputs and one monitored output for fire alarm siren control. Additionally it monitors the ground leakage of the supply voltage. It can be connected to a S81-T8001 termination card or to an S81-T8007 relay board, to have respectively, 16 open collector or 16 SPDT contact relay outputs.

  • IRIDE Software

    IRIDE is a supervision program that allows event management through animation and graphic pages. Sites can consist of one or several panels.  It can be installed on one or more computers that will connect to the fire alarm panel with a LAN Ethernet or serial line.

  • Command Cards and Special Logic

  • Eight 500mA monitored outputs S81-F5001

    Card with eight (8) controlled Output channels of 500mA for the command of solenoids with safety related functions. It performs testing every 2 seconds on the channels cyclically, in case of discrepancy between the set signal and the read signal, the unit promptly warns about the failure condition. The Output is tested for the following: line opening, short circuit towards positive pole, short circuit towards negative pole, failure of piloting DMOS device, over-temperature of piloting DMOS device, power voltage outside the limits allowed. To increase output current, channels can be connected in parallel.

  • Sixteen 250mA non-monitored open outputs S81-F5002

    Card with sixteen (16) open collector, non controlled Output channels of 250mA and mainly used to pilot the 16-relay card S81-T8007-1.

  • Eight 250mA monitored outputs for sounder S81-F5003

    Card with eight (8) controlled output channels of 250mA for the command of sirens in a steady and intermittent mode. The line is monitored through the inversion of polarities.

  • FOUR 2A MONITORED OUTPUTS S81-F5004

    Card with four (4) controlled Output channels of 2A for releasing solenoids.  The set and read signal are monitored and if there is a discrepancy, a failure condition is issued. The following is monitored; line opening, short circuit towards positive pole, short circuit towards negative pole, failure of piloting DMOS device, over-temperature of piloting DMOS device, power voltage outside the limits allowed. All channels are tested during operation every 2 seconds. To increase the outgoing current, additional channels may be connected in parallel.

  • LOGIC CARD FOR ONE EXTINGUISHING ZONE TO EN12094 S81-F6001

    This card manages logic and signals relative to an extinguishing area in order to meet the requirements of EN12094-1 standard. It manages ten (10) Output variables and seven (7) Input variables. In addition to warnings, it also performs some logic such as discharge delay and resetting inhibition time. It is also equipped with eight (8) non programmable open collector Outputs which indicate the main status of the extinguishing area.

  • LOGIC CARD FOR FLIP-FLOP, TIMER, TOGGLE S81-F6002

    This card can manage 100 Flip Flop logics (SR Type), 100 Toggle logics and 100 Timer logics. The Timer logics can be configured for two operating modes (Mode-A and Mode-B).

  • Eight monitored inputs S81-F3002

    Eight Inputs for conventional sensors for safety related functions. All channels can be reset singularly and are reset during operation every 30 seconds. This card is suitable to manage detection systems with conventional devices; it is suitable for use in systems with already existing detection lines, to command automatic extinguishing systems with double consent logics or intrinsic safety systems. Additionally, it is used to control all typical devices of extinguishing systems (pressure gauges, discharge keys, etc).

  • One 4-20mA Analog Input: S81-F4001

    A Safety related 4-20mA analog input with two threshold settings. The following transducer types can be connected: Explosive Sensors, Toxicity Sensors, Oxygen Sensors, Temperature Sensors, General 4-20mA sensors. The channel is tested during operation every 30 seconds. The card is equipped with a 4-20mA Output that supplies the current value measured at the Input. The analog value can be transferred to a DCS using a RTU Modbus module, part number S81-F7006-1.

  • Two 4-20mA Analog Inputs: S81-F4002

    A Safety related 4-20mA analog input with two (2) inputs, each having two threshold settings. The following transducer types can be connected: Explosive Sensors, Toxicity Sensors, Oxygen Sensors, Temperature Sensors, General 4-20mA sensors. The channel is tested during operation every 30 seconds. The card is equipped with a 4-20mA Output that supplies the current value measured at the Input.   • Modbus RTU (Master/Slave) protocol communication card S81-F7006

    Communication card with RTU Master/slave Modbus protocol. Its Output supplies two independent connections, a RS485 Half Duplex and a RS232. It manages the following Modbus variables: 512 Input variables, 512 Output variables, 1024 16-bit analogue variables. The values on to 4-20mA analogue cards S81-F4001, S81-F4002, S81-F4003 can be transmitted to the DCS system.

  • Rack Controller Card: S81-E2002-1

    The E2002 card manages the communications among the rack’s cards and the CPU’s. Receiving and sending data from the CPU and the 13 cards in the rack through 2 different communication channels. Only one card E2002 for each rack is necessary and it has to be placed in the 14th available slot.
